Cecile P. Helmkamp June 13, 1913 - Jan. 6, 2005 Cecile Pauline Helmkamp, 91, of Delphos, died at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at her daughter?s residence in Castle Rock, Colo. She was born June 13, 1913, in Fort Jennings, to Rudolph and Laura (Reckart) Calvelage. On April 8, 1940, she married John F. Helmkamp, who preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, David A. Helmkamp of Delphos; a daughter, Jean A. (Patrick) Mooney of Castle Rock; a brother, Hubert Calvelage of Delphos; a brother-in-law, Charles Huston; two sisters-in-law, Martha L. Sullivan and Alberta Calvelage; two granddaughters, Wendy and Lara in Colorado; and a great-granddaughter, Maya. She was preceded in death by a sister, Stasia Huston; and a brother, Harold Calvelage. Mrs. Helmkamp was a homemaker. She was a St. John?s High School and St. Rita?s School of Nursing graduate and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Delphos Country Club. Her family was her life, her love and her joy. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Preferred memorials are to St. John?s Teachers? Endowment Fund. Hubert B. Calvelage DELPHOS -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Hubert B. Calvelage, 90, of Delphos, Ohio, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2005 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Bill Rose officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos, with military grave rites by the Delphos Veterans Council. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. A parish wake service to be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday. Mr. Calvelage died at 8:50 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio on Tuesday, January 25, 2005. Hubert was born on January 14, 1915 in Ft. Jennings to Rudolph and Laura (Rekart) Calvelage, and they are both deceased. He married Marguerite (Rinklin) Calvelage on January 27, 1943, and she died on October 16, 2002. Surviving are one son, James (Phyllis "Phud") Calvelage, Delphos; three daughters, Barbara (Bob) Foust, Findlay; Michele (David) Wittler, Delphos; Julie (Glenn) Bertling, Lima; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are a daughter, Shirley Maag, two sisters, Cecile Helmkamp; Stasia Huston; and one brother, Harold Calvelage. Hubert was a self-employed CPA. He was very proud of each and everyone of his family members. Hubert loved boating, woodworking and golfing. His first hole-in-one was at the age of 79. Hubert served as Director of The Commercial Bank for 34 years; Board of Directors for the Elevator Mutual from 1956-1984; lifetime member of the Ohio Society of CPA's; a member of Knights of Columbus, a member of The Delphos Country Club; a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos and Saint Peter and Paul in Bradenton, Florida. Memorials may be made to St. John's Playground Fund.
