Graf Christoph II.[66] von Mansfeld-Mittelort, nimmt seinen Wohnsitz auf Burg Schraplau und lässt sie ab 1574 ausbauen, weshalb die Mittelortische Linie auch als Schraplauische Linie bezeichnet wird; zum Abbau seiner Schulden verkauft er 1574 Schloss Seeburg an den aus Mecklenburg stammenden Kuno Hahn für 115.250 Taler, unterzeichnete die Konkordienformel von 1577 und das Konkordienbuch von 1580[48] (* 11. September 1520; † 29. August 1591 in Dresden); ⚭ (1549) Gräfin Amalie von Schwarzburg-Blankenburg (* 23. März 1528; † nach 9. Mai 1589), Tochter von Graf Heinrich XXXII. von Schwarzburg-Blankenburg-Rudolstadt (1499–1538) und Gräfin Katharina von Henneberg-Schleusingen (1506/1509–1567)
