[Daily News-Record, Harrisonburg, Virginia, 21 Dec 2006: On Dec. 19, 2006, Lewis Harold Zirkle, beloved husband of Jean E. Zirkle (nee Mitchell), loving father of Carol Sommer, the late Patricia Schor and Linda Kuhlman, also surviving are six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother of the late Franklin Zirkle and Gordon Zirkle, Natalie Cadmus, Robbie Jean Zirkle and Louie Will. Family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 22, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, Md., where funeral services will begin at 1 p.m.; interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to American Heart Association, 415 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201, and American Diabetes Association, Maryland Office, 800 Wynn Park Drive, 1st Floor, Baltimore, MD 21211.
