Services for Hazel Annetta Warner, 96, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mulvane Chapel of the United Methodist Home in Topeka with the Rev. Charles E. Benton officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin. Mrs. Warner died Wednesday, March 31, 1993, at the United Methodist Home. She was born March 6, 1897, at Berryton, the daughter of Silas and Ida Mae Alexander Zirkle. She grew up in the Berryton area. She later lived in Lindsborg and Gardner before moving to Baldwin in 1934. She had lived in LaCygne for 10 years, and then returned to Baldwin. In 1977, she and her husband moved to the United Methodist Home. Mrs. Warner was a homemaker and also assisted her husband who was a minister at the Ives Chapel United Methodist Church in Baldwin for more than 20 years. She was church pianist, choir member and Sunday school teacher. She was a former member of the Ives Chapel Church, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Baldwin, Evangeline Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, and Capitol Unit No. 1 in Topeka. She also had been a member of several music and garden clubs in the Baldwin area. She married Willis Anderson Warner on Sept. 12, 1917, in Berryton. He died Jan. 1, 1978. A daughter, Evelyn Ridgway, also preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Lois Icenogle and Altha Tilghman, both of Topeka, and Helen Atherton, Ozawkie; a son, Alvin Warner, Hutchinson; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
