Mary Ellen ROSER

Mary Ellen Lafond, 78, of Topeka, Kansas passed away on March 16, 2015. She was born on October 27, 1936 in Maunie, Illinois the daughter of James W. and Edith M. Roser. Mary Ellen resided in Topeka after relocating from Kankakee, Illinois with her then husband Donald Lafond in 1970, where she worked for a number of employers including Credit Union One of Kansas which she retired from. Mary Ellen was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Topeka. She is survived by her two sons, Dave Lafond and his wife Christine Lafond of Topeka and Mark Lafond and his wife Alea Lafond of Lawrence; four granddaughters, Allison Kay Carson, Ashley Kay Lafond, Nicole Lafond Johnson and Carly Rae Lafond; three great granddaughters, Rylie, Parker (Carson), and Hazel (Brackbill); her sister Lillian Boehringer of Topeka; her niece Melanie Allyn and nephew Danny Ward, both of Carmi, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Georgia Ward of Carmi, Ill.
