JEREMIAH ROSER DIED AT THE PARK HOSPITAL TUESDAY EVENING 91 YEARS OF AGE Death Was Due to the Infirmities of Age-- Funeral Services Will be Held Friday Morning Jeremiah Roser, a well known and aged resident of this county, died at the Park hospital Tuesday evening at 10:30 o'clock. About nine weeks ago he began failing in health and three weeks ago he was taken to the Park hospital where he remained until claimed by death, which was due to infirmities of age. Mr. Roser came to this county about seventy years ago and was held in high esteem by all who knew him, Jeremiah Roser, son of Lawrence and Susanna Roser, and one of six children, was born near Harrisburg, Pa., June 21, 1826. He lived there with his parents until they moved to Ohio. His boyhood days were spent in that state. About the age of twenty, he came alone to this state and located in the southern part of this county. He often told of his trip to this state for when he came there were no railroads, and he made the trip on a boat down the old canal. In 1875 he moved to Alabama, where he remained for a period of four years. He returned to this county where he lived until 1886. At that time he moved to Grant county where he remained for four years, when he came to this county to make his home with his son, George Roser. Mr. Roser was united in marriage twice; the first time to Miss Susana Ridenour. To this union were six children born; the second time to Miss Catherine Renmaker, to which union there were five children born, one of whom preceded him to the grave several years ago. He was a life long and faithful member of the Lutheran church. The deceased leaves to mourn his death, ten children, Emanuel, Isiah and George of this county, Elias, of Kridersville, Chio, William of Gas City; Samuel, of Nashville, Tenn,, Mary Jane Renmaker and Emeline Strough of Grant county; and Lora B. Roser of this county. The funeral services will be held at the Mill Creek Lutheran church Friday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. G. Derhamer officiating. The interment will be made in the Lafontaine cemetery.
