The Burlington Republican (Burlington, Kansas); Wednesday, December 11, 1901: The funeral of Mrs. Sarah A. Roser was held at the M. E. church Monday, in charge of Rev. Dr. Robbins. The ladies quartet sang. Sarah Ann Redenour was born in Ohio, June 21 1838. She moved with her parents to Wabash, Ind., in early childhood. She was baptised in infancy and confirmed in the Lutheran church at the age of fifteen. She was married in 1857 to Amos Roser. Seven children were born, four sons and three daughters, all of whom survive her. They moved to Topeka in 1864 where she united with the Methodist Episcopal church. In 1868 they moved to Burlington. She joined the church here and was a member until December 6, 1901, when she joined the church Triumphant. She trusted in the Lord to the last.
