Elma Elizabeth BEGEMAN

Elma Elizabeth was the daughter of Harmen J and Louise Solter Begemann. She married William Zahn in LaGrange MO on 17 Nov 1944. They were the parents of three children: Betty Jean, Dorthea, and Patricia.~Elma Elizabeth Zahn, 92, Canton, died Thursday, December 6, 2001, at the Lewis County Nursing Home, Canton. Born November 24, 1909, at LaGrange she was the daughter of Harmen J. and Louise Solter Begemann. She was married to William Zahn November 17, 1929, at LaGrange. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1994. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, LaGrange. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Brown and husband John, Florissant and Mrs. Betty Wisemann, Canton; one brother, Howard Begemann and wife Esther, LaGrange; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Dorothea Rogers; one brother, Henry Begemann, three sisters, Edna Boyer, Lorene Brown and Marie Cottrell. Visitation was Monday, December 10, 2001, at Davis Funeral Home, Canton from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with family present after 6:00 p.m. Funeral services were Tuesday, December 11, 2001, at Davis Funeral Home, Canton, with Pastor Paul Meseke officiating. Interment was at Forest Grove Cemetery, Canton. Music was provided by Wilma Maples and Chuck Eckhoff, vocalist. Pallbearers were Mike Rogers, Mark Rogers, Marc Chapman, Tim Chapman, John Christner and James Christner. Suggested donations may be made to St Peters Lutheran Church, LaGrange.
