Millie Allie HOPPIS

The Democrat-American, Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Thrusday, February 11, 1937 pg 2 Millie Allie Hoppis was born in Iowa, June 6 1865, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hoppis. She died Saturday afternoon at the home of her niece, Mrs. Florence Collins, following a lingering illness. Mrs. Hoppis had been and invalid all her life, and has lived in Sequoyah county for the past ten years, she was 71 years old. Surviving relatives are one brother, Mike Hoppis of Hasty, Ark., and nieces and nephews of Sallisaw, they are Mrs. Florence Collins, Mrs. Beckie Mysinger, Mrs. Stella Harl and Mrs. Annie Hill of Sallisaw; and John Hoppis of Hanson and Earl Hoppis of Ada, Okla. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Moore's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. D.C. Callahan and Rev. A.B. Heffley of Maud, Okla., officiating, interment was in the Buffington cemetery under the direction of the Moore's Funeral Home.
