Paul D. "Putty" Putt, Jr., 91, formerly of Muncy Valley, died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at The Gatehouse at Divine Providence, Williamsport. Paul's wife, the former Patricia A. Heckman, died February 14, 1996. Born October 2, 1931, in Robesonia, Pa., he was a son of the late Paul Putt, Sr., and Laura (Batzle) Putt. He was a 1950 graduate of Robesonia High School and was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Marine Corp. from 1951 to 1954 with C Company, 7th Motor Vehicle, 1st Marine Division. Paul was employed at Texas Western Trans Corporation of West Chester, the Continental Can Company of Reading, and retired in 1987 as a shipper from the Carpenter Technology Corporation of Reading, Pa. Paul was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, gardening, and traveling. He loved to spend time with his family and was a dog lover. He was a member of the Sonestown American Legion, the National Rifle Association, and the North Mountain Sportsmen's Club, Muncy Valley. Surviving are two daughters, Peggy (Barry) Druckenmiller of Womelsdorf, and Nancy (Harry) Light of Lafayette, Ind.; two grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death his son Paul D. Putt, III, two sisters Irene Shepler, and Pearl Miller; and two brothers Kenneth and Raymond Putt. In keeping with Paul's wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Sonestown, Pa.
