News-Sentinel, The (Fort Wayne, IN) - March 10, 2008 Deceased Name: HELEN LOUISE FUGATE HELEN LOUISE FUGATE, 83, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008, in Columbia City. Born in Roann, Ind., she was employed as a waitress at Azar's for several years, Atz for 15 years, and worked in cafeteria with Aramark Food Services for several years, retiring in 2005. She graduated from Chippaw High School in Wabash. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Columbia City. She enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid fan. She loved to travel hundreds of miles to attend the Country Music concerts. Survivors include sons, Larry (Dawn) Moyer of Brandon, Fla. and Arnie (Jennifer) Fugate of Port Richey, Fla.; daughter, Karna (Joe) Heck of Columbia City; stepson, Ronnie (Fran) Lowe of Van Wert, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and daughter, Debbie Ann in 1955. Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Thomas Beers officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Riley Children's Hospital.
