Charles I. MCGILL

The Meadville Tribune, 05 May 2010, Meadville, Pa: Charles I. McGill, 81, Saegertown, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, at Meadville Medical Center. Charles was born in Meadville on Aug. 26, 1928, a son of the late Walter and Ruby Cutshall McGill. On June 17, 1965, Charles married his wife, Virginia; she survives. He was of the Methodist faith. After 40 years of service, Charles retired from Kebert Construction. For many years, he had also worked part-time as a driver for Boyles Bus Lines. In his younger days he was employed by McCrosky Tool. He attended Littles Corners schools. Charlie enjoyed camping, hunting, playing bingo and riding his motorcycle, but his number-one priority in life was his family. In addition to his wife, Virginia, of 44 years, Charles is survived by seven children, 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Cuddles. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary McMillen and Inez Sliter; and an infant brother. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday. Interment will take place in Saegertown Cemetery, Hayfield Township. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Charles McGill to Stephen P.
