St Paris News Dispatch -- March 30, 1916: Mrs Carrie Florence Hopple, daughter of Samuel J and Effie Zirkle of Millerstown, died at Illinois Sunday, March 26, 1916. She was born on October 11, 1873, in Millerstown. The body was brought here Tuesday morning and taken tot he home of her brother, Mr AC Zirkle. The funeral services were conducted by Rev WC Nash on Wednesday. Interment was made at Spring Grove Cemetery. She married Henry Joseph Hopple on January 26, 1905. One brother, AC Zirkle, together with the husband and two daughters, Effie Kathryn aged 5 years and Carrie Josephine aged 3 years, and a stepson Stephen Wilbur Hopple, 19 years of age, survive.
