Published in The Lima News, Monday, January 11, 1954, page 2: Cloyd Ellis Wilkin, 55, of Bellefontaine, son of Mrs. John E. Wilkin, 710 S. Metcalf St., died at 12:30 a.m. yesterday in Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, after a brief illness. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion post, Harrod, and the Lions Club, Bellefontaine. He also was a member of the Methodist Church, Bellefontaine. Surviving besides his mother are his widow, Mabel, L.; a daughter, Mrs. Chester E. Brown, 800 E. Third St.; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Cora Umbaugh, Route 6, Wapakoneta; Mrs. Charles L. Nichols, 611 W. Elm St.; Mrs. D. E. Kimmel, 932 Faurot Ave.; Mrs. William R. Copp, 801 S. Metcalf St.; Mrs. Robert E. Ward, 572 N. Jameson Ave. The body will remain in the Eicholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine, for services at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Richard Bauer will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
