NEW HAVEN - Harold Lee "Peck" Zerkle, 68, of New Haven died March 21, 1998, at home. He was a crane operator and Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of New Haven United Methodist Church, American Legion Smith Capehart Post 140, New Haven, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Parkersburg, Clifton Masonic Lodge Chapter 23, Nemesis Temple, Parkersburg, and was a life member of International Union and Operating Engineers. Surviving: wife, Barbara L. Lieving Zerkle; son, Ronald K. of New Haven; daughter, Belinda L. Newell of New Haven; brothers, Raymond L. Zerkle of Cheshire, Ohio, Charles N. Zerkle of New Haven; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Haven United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bernard H. Lieving Jr. and the Rev. Gregory L. Blair officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will be in Graham Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, and one hour prior to service at the church. Charleston Newspapers - (Dec/5/2003)
