Published in The Lima News, April 15, 1956: Clarence F. Butturff, 74, of 4760 S. Dixie Highway, died at 8:15 p. m. Saturday in St. Rita's Hospital. He had been a patient there for a week. He was born Feb. 27, 1882 in Galion, Ohio. A carpenter by trade, Mr. Butturff was a member of Grace Methodist Church and the Men's Brotherhood and Philathea Sunday School Class of the church. He also was a member of Shawnee Grange. He married the former Miss Mary Jane Zerkel on Dec. 25, 1904. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Harold, 800 Broadway; Clyde 4761 S. Dixie, and Clair, 640 S. Pears Ave.; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Clark, 4920 S. Dixie, and Mrs. Mary Repasz, 840 N. McDonel St.; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Susy Fusselman, Warren, Ohio; Mrs. Elma Williams, Canfield, Ohio, and Mrs. Alma Kepler, Akron. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday in Grace Methodist Church with the Rev. Vernon Van Buren officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery near Cridersville. Friends may call at the Bayliff Funeral Home, Cridersville, after 6 p. m. today.
