Catherine Ellenora A. ZIRKLE

Upshur Republican Thursday, Dec 26, 1918 Mrs. Ellen Cutright was born June 25, 1855, and died Dec 14, 1918, aged 63 years, 5 months, and 19 days. She was the oldest daughter of Oliver and Elizabeth Zirkle. She was married to Ithiel Cutright May 1874, and to this union was born 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls. Two sisters and one brother have preceded her to the great beyond. She leaves 3 boys and 2 daughters, 3 brothers, 4 sisters and 11 grandchildren to mourn the one whom they had learned to love. Five grandchildren have preceded her to the grave. Mrs. Cutright was converted at the age of 13 and joined the U B Church and has lived as a consistent Christian ever since..... She was born in Barbour County and moved to Upshur County at the age of 16 years.... Funeral services were held on Dec 15 and interment was made in the Union Cemetery. Rev DeBarr had charge of the services. The surviving children are M V Fagle of OH; J C Cutright at Indian Camp; R M Cutright of Ellamore; and E B Cutright of Alexander. She died at the home of her daughter, Edith Baughman at Kedron.
