  Number 1165 Hannover, on 17th December 1885. Appearing today before the undersigned marriage license bureau for marriage is: 1. The policeman Christian Karl Wilhelm Stünckel, who spells his name Stünkel, having been married once previously with Karoline, nee Meyer, legally divorced from him on May 30, 1885 in Hannover and recognized by the bailiff Kayser here as the same person and by the two witnesses mentioned hereafter, of Lutheran religion, born on the 12th of May in the year 1843 at Adelheidsdorf, district Celle, living in Hannover, Wagenerstrasse number 2, son of the deceased married couple: the colonist Heinrich Friedrich Stünckel and Sophie Dorothee, nee Wagener, both recently living in Adelheidsdorf. … 2. Pauline Karoline Albertine, nee Kuhn, first married to the locksmith August Ferdinand Seidler, who died December 21, 1875 in Hannover, known by the two witnesses named hereafter, of Protestant faith, born on 8 January in the year 1838 at Geischen, district Guhrau, living in Hannover, Osterstrasse number 72, daughter of the deceased married couple, male nurse assistant Johann Gottlieb Kuehn and Wilhelmine Pauline, nee Frey, living recently at Eberswalle, the latter in Berlin. 3. The following witnesses were called and appeared: the telegraph messenger Friedrich Vennekohl, recognized by the named betrothed persons, 35 years old, residing in Hannover, Karavanenstrasse number 16; 4. The policeman Robert Thamm, recognized by the named engaged persons, 35 years old, residing in Hannover, Ernst-Auguststrasse number 11. In the presence of the witnesses, the registrar asked the betrothed individually and jointly the question: Whether they declare to enter upon marriage. The betrothed answered the question affirmatively, and the registrar declared them a wedded couple according to law.
