Als Anna Gertrud Friedsam 1818 heiraten wollte, stellte sich heraus, daß sie keine Geburtsurkunde nachweisen konnte. Als sie am
28.12.1800 geboren wurde, befanden sich ihre Eltern "von Gewerbe herumziehende Zinngießer, auf ihrer Reise zu Lucherberg". Die
Standesämter waren 1798 im französischen Rheinland eingeführt worden, also eine recht neue Angelegenheit, auf jeden Fall wurde die
Eintragung beim Standesamt versäumt. Daher mußte der Friedensrichter des Cantons Düren unter Heranziehung von 7 Zeugen am 18.6 1818 ein
vierseitiges Dokument ausstellen, in welchem zum Zwecke der Eheschließung die Geburt bestätigt wurde.
