Bauer und Lehensträger in Mariazell. In den Amtsrechnungen 1578, S.21 heißt es zu den Eheleuten: "Michael Neff zu Mariazelle, nach Schramberg leibeigen", "Anne Hangst, Mariazell, ist frey". Heirat am 5.10.1578.Verbindung des Michael Neef mit dem Vater Jakob idt genau so sicher wie die mit seinem Neffen Gallus. Vgl.dazu Urbar, Fol 150R (zum Dorf Mariazell): "Von den Gütern, so vormals Eucharius Schultheiß inngehabt,(....) - gibt jetzt Jakob Neef, im Dorf Mariazell, - gibt jetzt MIchael Neef, sein Sohn. (Nachtrag) - gibt jezo Gall Nef. - Gibt jezo Bartlin Fleug vom Hugswald".
