Chevauleger-Rgt. eingerueckt, zog er mit diesem bei der Mobilmachung ins Feld. Spaeter zu einer Radfahrerbrigade versetzt, erlitt er bei den schweren Kaempfen in Bessarabien den Heldentod, R.I.P."
