MISS ELNORA HINSCH WEDS ALVIN DIERCKS

Popular Young Couple United at Quiet Ceremony at Brides Home

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hinsch was the scene of a pretty autumn wedding on Saturday, October 18, when their daughter, Miss Elnora Margaret Hinsch, was given in marriage to Alvin Diercks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Diercks.

The ceremony was preceded by Wagner's wedding chorus from "Lohengrin," played by Theodore Schultz. At 2 o'clock the vows were spoken under an altar of oak leaves and wedding bells. A ring ceremony was used and the rites were read by the Rev. F. W. Weindorf, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church.

The bride wore a gown of white canton crepe, with an uneven hem line and a cap-effect veil wreather with orange blossoms. She carried a corsage bouquet of bridal roses and baby breath.

The bride's attendant was Miss Lydia Hinsch, her sister, and the groom was attended by his brother, Norman Diercks. Miss Lydia Hinsch wore a peach colored flat crepe dress with an uneven hem line and her bouquet was made up of white chrysanthemums and pink carnations.

After the ceremony the bridal couple and a group of immediate relatives sat down to a bounteous three course dinner. Those who served were the Misses Erna Matthees, Marie Scharpen, and Erna Gerder.

Mr. and Mrs. Diercks will enjoy a short honeymoon trip through northern Minnesota. After November 1 they will be at home at 223 1/2 East Fourth street, Red Wing.
