Herman seems to have been given the farm which had laid waste since being destroyed during the 30 Years War around 1660. Setting up such a farm with a Wehrfester usually took a number of years as there just weren t enough
people around who could handle the task or were willing to take the risk. The name of this resettler is unkown as he immediately took the old Holthaus farm name to himself.
