Beim Deutschen Roten Kreuz Suchdienst München seit Januar 1945 als vermisst gemeldet. Rückmeldung vom 23.April 1972 - Das Ergebnis aller Nachforschungen führte zu dem Schluß, daß David Streitz mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit bei den Kämpfen, die vom 14. bis 31.Januar 1945 im Raum Allenstein - Osterode - Deutsch Eylau geführt wurden, gefallen ist (DRK-Verschollen-Bildliste Band CH, Seite 666).
