Seiner ersten Ehe mit Dorothea Bierstedt entstammten zwei Kinder:

Nach dem Tod seiner Frau am 26.7.1732 heiratete Matthias Benecke in zweiter Ehe am 25.11.1732 Ilsabe Benecke, Tochter des Asmus Benecke aus Zino (Sienau). Die Verwandtschaftsverhältnisse zwischen beiden sind noch nicht geklärt. Dieser Ehe entstammte mindestens ein Sohn, geboren 27.12.1734.
Ilsabe Benecke starb am 2. Juni 1745, Matthias Benecke heiratete ein drittes Mal am 22.11.1745 Maria Elisabeth Malmer.
