Notes for this person
Halbspänner in the old village of Mardorf Nr. 7. He had gone on the "Hannöversche Reise" (military service?), and on his return, brought with him a fellow who was wearing the clothes of the late Cord Schuster from Mardorf.That fellow was forced to tell the whereabouts of the cavalry, and then was murdered to prevent him from betraying Mardorf. Johan Hinrich Kahle buried him secretly. After the war was over, about 1640, Johan Hinrich Kahle was seenstanding in the water for three days to find a copper kettle full of money he had buried there in 1627 at the shore of the lake.
