!SOURCES: 1. Jerry Barrett, Lansing IL 2. Mrs. Spoden [copy in file] 3. Will of Martin Booher [copy in file] 4. Booher, Allen G. sr. MY OFTEN MISSPELLED NAME IS BOOHER 5. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Records, Mannheim PA from Harold Keisling, Cookeville TN !BIRTH: Source-5 for date and place !MARRIAGE: Source-4 has a marriage date of 12 Mar. 1811 but this must be incorrect as several children had been born before that time. My guess is that this is a typo and it should be 1801. !DEATH: Source-4 p. 123 for date and place [I think it may have been later than 1826 as the litigation says "Your Oratrixes and Orators further state that the said John Booker hath lately departed this life, and that his widow, Polly Booker, and one Thomas White, both of whom reside in Sullivan county, have been duly appointed Administrator and Administratrix of the estate of the said John Booker, and the children and heirs at law of the said John Booker, are *Daniel Booker, Samuel Deck & Rebecca his wife, formerly Rebecca Booker, David Kesler and Franky his wife, formerly Franky Booker, Barbara Booker, Samuel Booker, John Booker, Eli Booker & Lydia Booker, all of whom reside in Sullivan County." BURIAL: !ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Source-4 p. 119 "It is thought that John Booher settled in the upper Reedy Creek area and was known as 'Reedy Creek John'." Source-4 p. 48 Elizabeth Booher Parrigin story "Mary lived in Tennessee and had 13 children. Her husband was John Booher and her cousin. The names of the children were Frankie, Daniel, Rebecca, Peter, Samuel, John, Eleas, Jacob and Mary [twins], Barbara, Eli, Elizabeth, and Lydia." Source-3 Named as son in Martin Booher's will. Martin willed John that plantation, 150 acres on the waters of Reedy Creek where "my son John now lives." This John is referred to as "Reedy Creek John."
