Notes for this person

1835–1844 bei Hartmann Bernhard / Romrod, danach wanderte er u.a. über Wien, Prag, Dresden und Weimar und war 1841–1845 wohl bei Friedrich Krebaum in Eschwege. Seit 1844 bemühte er sich um die Approbation als Orgelbauer in Ostheim im Großherzogtum Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach. Die Werkstattgründung in Ostheim erfolgte spätestens 1847 mit dem Auftrag zum Umbau der Döring-Orgel von 1738 in derStadtkirche St. Michael, der 1848 abgeschlossen wurde.
