<p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr">Newspaper National Republican Washington DC Montag 10.Mai 1880: Chief-Justice Carrter hat Elizabeth Gerhold die Scheidung von ihrem Ehemann George Gerhold und das Sorgerecht für die Kinder zugesprochen. Dieses Paar wurde am 21 Juli 1856 in Baltimore, Md., von Pfarrer Mr. Hertzbach getraut und kam anschließend in diese Stadt, um hier zu leben. .. Sie beschuldigte ihn, sie grausam behandelt zu haben, ein Gewohnheitstrinker zu sein, sich des Ehebruchs mit verschiedenen Personen schuldig gemacht zu haben und sie schließlich am 15 Sep 1877 verlassen zu haben. Die Klage wurde von Mr. A.B. Williams eingereicht.</p>
