Konen, 88, of Route 1, Mount Calvary, died shortly after noon Monday, March 3, 1980, at Villa Loretto Nunsing Home, Mount Calvary, where she resided since 1971. She was born Oct. 8, 1891.in the Town of Marshfield, the daughter of the late Anton and Agnes Hartogh Schmitz. She attended Holy Cross Parochical School at Mount Calvary. On Nov. 29, 1911,she was married to Peter A. Konen. The couple farmed in the Dotyville area until 1943, and later moved to Mount Calvary. Mrs. Konen was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church at Mount Calvary. Christian Mothers Society and Daughters of Isabella of Plymouth. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gust (Estelle) Lueck of Plymouth and Mrs. Leo (Anna Marie) Schneider of Sheboygan; two sons, Ambrose ofRoute 2, New Holstein, and David of West Bend: 24 grandchildren ; 25 greatgrandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Wuest of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Ray Sippel of Mount Calvary and Mrs. Henry Feyen of NewHolstein. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1967, and by four sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and at 10:30 a.m.at Holy Cross Church, Mount Calvary. The Rev. Rupert Dorn will officiate. and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends of Mrs. Konen may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
