Ritterstand, Lehnsherr zu Worms
Konrad I. von Helmstatt (* 1275; 1335) wurde in den Ritterstand erhoben und war ab 1326 Wormser Lehnsherr auf der Mittelburg bei Neckarsteinach, wo ihm sein Sohn Lutz (auch: Luzzo) von Helmstatt (* vor 1316, nach 1347), der Schwiegersohn von Boppo von Steinach, folgte. Luzzos ebenfalls Boppo genannter Sohn konnte den Wormser Teil und den Teil der Burg 1382 auf sich vereinen, er starb jedoch um 1400 ohne Nachkommen.
