"Josiah C. (Carson?) Braly was born 1798/7 in NC or TN. He was m. 1st
in Howard Co., MO to Rebecca Morris, b 1798/9 KY, dau. of Hammond Morris,
Jr. (1766/8-1859) and Margaret Petrie. Josiah C. Braly signed deeds in
Buchanan Co., MO, but after the death of wife, Becky, in 1860/2 he moved
to near Atchison, KS where on 17 Sep 1862 he m. 2ndly. Elizabeth Francis
Rockwell sister of Shadrach Braly's wife, Louisa Rockwell. He probably
died in Brown Co., KS after 1866 but no death record has been found."
