Notes for this person

(Research):--- 7 [438] Carl Christian F. "Charles"OLDACH, CA.1850 SUSEMI(E)HL (F.=Fried(e)rich) (also spelled Karl) (Born by unmarried mother OLDACH, raised by her later husband Jo(a)chim H.SUSEMIHL. Carl Christian was spelled SUSEMIHL always in Germany, alternating with SUSEMIEHL in USA.) geb.: 28-11-1837 in Jennewitz near Kröpelin near Rostock, Grand Duchy =Großherzogtum of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, German Confederation =Deutscher Bund (baptized) (kb) Tageloehner [a hired man, who worked by the day] (in Barnstorf, Germany) - 1868 Katenmann, Knecht - 1871 Farmer (in USA) (His biological mother was Carolina Friederica OLDACH, unmarried to his father Carl Friedrich SCHRÖDER, son of a Holländer =Schäfer. Beyond Carl's baptism there are no other informations about these biological parents OLDACH & SCHRÖDER, not even any birth records. [kb:] 1852 Carl's confirmation took place in Biestow, here he is named SUSEMIHL and as father given the Katenmann [ =who owned a little house] SUSEMIHL in Barnstorf, who was married to Carl Christian's mother Carolina. In the German birth records of Carl C.'s children Heinrich and Carl, he was called "OLDACH, genannt SUSEMIHL", in the USA birth documents of these two children spelled SusemiEhl, at birth of Berta again SUSEMIHL. 1871 Carl moved to the USA, with his wife and his first two children, the Mecklenburg emigration documents [application 24-5-1871, agree by Grand Duke 30-5-1871] I have a copy] only showing the name SUSEMIHL, nowhere SUSEMIEHL, and nowhere OLDACH. Emigration by ship "HAMMONIA", that arrived in USA 12-10-1871 (source: http://castlegarden.org/quick_search_result.php?p_first_name=&p_last_name=Susemi*&m_arrival_date_start=1830&m_arrival_date_end=1912&co_id=-1&o_id=-1&m_id=-1&submit.x=33&submit.y=16). 1872 settled in Wheatland. One source saying they immigrated ca. 40 years before his death, must be wrong: then his 2nd son would not have been born in Germany and immigrating with him.) Jennewitz nr Kröpelin - 1865 Barnstorf nr Biestow - 1871 Wheatland, Will Co, IL gest.: 1-5-1903 in Kane C./ Illinois (of chronic cystitis with uremia) Bestattung: 3-5-1903 in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery (at the corner of Montgomery and Douglas Roads) in Montgomery/ Kane C./ Illinois (this date also from http://www.auroracemeteries.com/Sect%20B/b-77.htm) Sight tod./Main gen.probl: Carl C.'s genetic father was Carl Fr. SCHRÖDER in Retschow near Rostock. Contrary to a prior analysis of pcc, crw found out, that Carl C. was raised not by Johann C. SUSEMIHL, but by Johann's older brother Jo(a)chim H., who married his mother Carolina. v+v
