Orville Edward Spire, age 95, of Maryville, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at his daughter's home in St. Joseph. Orville was born March 4, 1909, in Parnell, Mo., to George and Louisa (Berg) Spire.He was married April 10, 1939, to Dorothy Meyer in Conception, Mo. He was a lifetime farmer in the Maryville area. He was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Maryville.
Preceding him in death were sister, Margaret Merrigan; and son-in-law, Michael Sweet.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anna (Meyer) Spire; two daughters, LaVera spire, St. Joseph; and Lavina Forgue and son-in-law, Dr. Donald Forgue, Kansas City, Mo.; son, Edwin Spire, and wife, Nancy, Webster City, Iowa; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral service will be at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Maryville, Tuesday, April 13. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Maryville.
