ADAM ANTHONY KACPROWICZ, age 88, of Kendallville died on Monday, April 29, 2013 in Fort Wayne. Mr. Kacprowicz was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on December 7, 1924 to Adam Kacprowicz and Rozalia (Lukasiewicz) Kacprowicz. He married Pearl Elaine Stine on January 21, 1950 in Fort Wayne and she survives in Kendallville.
Mr. Kacprowicz worked for Belmont Radio in Chicago and the United States Army Signal Corps for three years as a civilian military instructor, a radio communications instructor and he taught GI and foreign officers. He worked for Sylvania Radio Corporation of Amherst, New York for seven and a half years as a senior electronic engineer and Chrysler Corporation in their Space Division as a contractor to NASA at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama for four years. After coming back to Indiana he worked at RCA Television in Marion, Indiana as a senior engineer for three years. In Kendallville he worked for King-Seeley and then Courier for ten and a half years until he retired in 1997. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Avilla.
Survivors include:
Wife, Pearl Elaine Kacprowicz of Kendallville.
Daughter, Rosalie Jean and Mark Day of South Bend.
Daughter, Margaret Mary and Floyd "Butch" Colgan of Garrett.
Daughter, Patricia Ann and Steve Danalds of Springfield, Missouri.
Daughter, Darlene Marie and William Jacobs of Marion.
Daughter, Dianna Lynn and Jeffrey Danalds of Corunna.
Son, Michael Patrick and Sharon (Ley) Kacprowicz of Fort Wayne.
16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Avilla.
Burial will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Avilla.
