Familienname: Wagener

Vorname (kurz): Chre

Name (kurz): Chre Wagener

Status: 1846 nach Amerika

Quellen: Henry Wolff, Jr., 1704 Milam, Victoria, TX. 77901:

There was a Christine Wagener/Wagner, born in Erndtebrueck 28.11.1818, who married a Christian Hassler in Germany sometime in the late 1830s, according to family records in Texas. This Mr. Hassler came to Texas in 1845, planning to get established, and then sent for Christine and their three sons and joined her brother, Heinrich Wagener and his family at Shelby, Texas. Upon arriving, she found that her husband had died after he had actually settled in New Braunfels. That is all the information that I have on this Christian Hassler who married Christine Wagener or Wagner. Christine lived in Shelby with a brother and his family and on 08.10.1848 married either a Jakob or John Schneider. They had two daughters, Christine and Louisa. In 1851, Mr. Schneider died and Christine was again a widow with small children. On 06.03.1852 she married Ludwig Voelkel b. 27.11.1823 (one reference indicates 27.10.1823) d. 27.09.1898. They had three children. Jakob Schneider is buried in the Shelby, Texas, Cemetery and his wife Christine is also buried in the same cemetery, next to her third husband, Ludwig Voelkel.
