Beninga nennt sie Affos Tochter, aber der Autor folgt Heikes, der sie dessen Enkelin nennt, da das chronologisch plausibler ist. Van Lengen hält einen Fehler in der Überlieferung für plausibler, so daß eigentlich nicht die Rede von Edzards Frau, sondern von seiner (Stief)Mutter, eben Affos Tochter, Gela Syrtza von Manslagt, gewesen sei.
