Er saß auf der Beningaburg zu Wirdum. Er besaß außer Wirdum und Grimersum die beiden Walsum (westlich von Marienhafe), Borkum und wahrscheinlich Jennelt.
Ab ca. 1354 benutzten die Beninga ein eigenes Siegel.
