Er war Stifter von Gut Tyarda bei Bingum an das Zisterzienserkloster Termunten (1409 - 1435 Abt Edo Boyng aus Dykhausen) und von Thedinga (Tyadena) an das Doppelkloster der Benediktiner Nüttermoor.
Er soll Besitz in Reide, Jemgum und Ditzum gehabt haben.
In einem Dokument von 1380 soll, laut Ockels, eine von Rheide als seine Frau genannt sein.
Manche nennen seine Frau von Groothusen-Middelsteburg.
