Ruth M. Recker

Ruth M. Recker, 89, of Kalida, died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. She was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Fort Jennings, to Louis and Louise (Raymond) Brockman. On April 7, 1936, she married Robert J. Recker, who preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1976. Survivors include a son, Donald 'Mick' Recker of Salem, Mich., a daughter, Carol Schroeder of Leipsic, a brother Cleo (Cis) Brockman of Fort Jennings, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Raymond Brockman, and a sister, Mary Brockman. Mrs. Recker worked for GTE Sylvania in Ottawa for 28 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, the Rev. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fort Jennings. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. Preferred memorials are to Putnam Acres Care Center.
