Birth:
He was born in July 1751 in Mikstat near Ostrzeszow in the Poznan region in Poland and baptised there on the 19th day of that month. His parents were Jakub and Agnieszka Jarosz. (D1)

Work:
In 1791 two lots of census were taken in Mikstat. He owned a house in the ul. Ostrzeszowska (Ostrzeszowska street). The number of the house was 79 in one census and 80 in the other. There were no servants living in his house. (D9)
In 1793, when he was 42 years old, Prussia annexed this part of Poland. From 1793 to 1806 Mikstat was a part of “Suedpreussen”. In 1795 a census was undertaken of the towns including “Mixtat”. Jakub Jaroszewski is listed as Jakob Jarusch. He owned house (Feuerstelle) 85. (D8)
In the "Kanton Rolle" of 1795 he is described as "Ackermann" and the owner of house 87. (D10)
In local church records he was addressed several times as Famatorum. (D1)
Marriage:
He married the single Katarzyna Biadalska, who was also from Mikstat, on the 9th of February 1779 in the Sw. Trojcy church in Mikstat. (D1)
They raised a family there. (D1)
Death:
He died of asthma on the 2nd of May 1818 in Mikstat. He was 66 years old. He was buried in the cemetery there two days later. (D1)
