Louis Kinkel was a boarder in the 1900 Census OBITUARY-Commonwealth Reporter, Fond du Lac, WI. - Dated: 6-11-1962 Forest Town Pioneer Dies At Age Of 92 Luther Church Rites Are Announced For Christian Immel Christian Immel, a prominent retired farmer of the Town of Forest, diedMonday at 7:45 p.m. at the Macy Street Lutheran Home, where he had been aresident since January. He was 92. Mr. Immel was born July 4, 1869 inHessen-Darmstadt, Germany, the son of John and Eva Rein Immel. At the ageof nine-months, he came to the U.S. with his parents and settled on afarm in the Town of Forest. He was one of the oldest confirmands of St.Pauls Lutheran Church in the Town of Forest having received thesacrament there April 1, 1883. Mr. Immel married Karoline Krumm in Fonddu Lac on January 28, 1898. She died on November 21, 1919. On November 5,1921 he married Mrs. Emma Stark of Fond du Lac. The couple then moved toFond du Lac and Mr. Immel worked for the Immel Construction Company. Hissecond wife died on February 28, 1941. He was married to Mrs. AllieFavell at Wisconsin Rapids on July 6, 1944. She died in October 1956.Three sisters and six brothers also preceded him in death. He is survived by six sons and five daughters; Walter G. and Clarence of Route4; Wilbert of Route 3; Earl of Calvary Route 1; Marvin of Campbellsport;Harold of St. Cloud Route 1; Mrs. Robert Rose of Eden; Mrs. Herman Pochof Calvary Route 1; and Mrs. William Seibel, Mrs. Florence Sartori andMrs. Victor Lueck all of Fond du Lac. Survivors also include fivestep-children; 61 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren; a brother,August of the Town of Forest. The body will be in state at theBidlingmaier Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursdayand then at Luther Memorial Church until the time of services at 1:30p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Waldemar Schuetze will officiate. Burial will bein Forest Cemetery. There were 160 family members in attendance, with somerelatives traveling from as far away as Boulder, Colorado toparticipate. The reunion was hosted by Gordon and Carolyn Immel, whoreside on the homestead farm; Florence Satori, Nelita Lueck, Maurice andArlene Immel, LaVerne and Ruth Immel, Lyle and Barbara Immel, Leonard andAlice Rosenbaum, Elmer and Ila Seibel, and Harlan and Verna Immel.
