The first child of Paul and Hilda was Helen Lydia Postier who was born on
4/15/1907 in Cleveland. She was baptized on 5/12/l907 by Reverend
Weseloh. The sponsors were Friedrich Abraham and Lydia Mosanski. She
was confirmed on 3/20/1921.
She married Joseph Burgel on 1/30/1928 in Monroeville in Huron County.
Marriage record shows that Joseph F. Burgel was 27 years of age on the
31st day of Dec. 1927; his residence is Monroeville, Ohio, place of birth
was Sherman Twp., Ohio, occupation farming. Father's name was Ben Burgel
and mother's maiden name was Elizabeth Fritz. Helen L. Postier was 20
years of age on the 15th day of April, 1927, her residence was Norwalk,
Huron County, Ohio; place of birth was Cleveland. Father's name was Paul
Postier and mother's maiden name was Hilda Abraham.
Joseph was born on 12/31/1899 and died 3/7/1973. They owned the J.
Burgel Farm Market at 7442 Lakeshore Blvd., in Mentor. Their son, Daniel
Burgel has a painting of the farm stand. In l936, the Burgel's were
living at 146l8 Coit Road. Helen's mother, Hilda lived with them and had
a restaurant on Coit Rd. at this time. The name of the restaurant was
Hilda's Lunch. Hilda was also a maid in Brahtenahl. The Burgel's then
moved to Murray Ave., then E. 343 in Eastlake, then from 1940-49 on
Jordan Drive off of Euclid by Immaculate Conception, then in l949 to
Lakeshore Drive where they had the farm stand. Helen died on 2/9/1981
and Joseph on 3/7/1973. They died in Painesville and are buried at All
Souls Cemetery. Helen and Joseph had 5 children:

Death certificate shows: Helen Lydia Burgel died February 9, 1981 at her
residence of 1651 Mentor Avenue, Painesville Twp., Ohio. She was born
April 15, 1907 in Ohio and her nationality was German/French. She was
widowed at the time of death and her occupation was retail sales in a
produce market. Her parents were listed as Paul Postier and Hilda (last
name unknown). She died of cardiac arrest and was buried on Feb. 12,
1981 at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, Geauga County, Ohio. The
informant was Daniel Burgel, 12735 Vernon Ave., Huntington Woods, MI
48077.
