SUDDEN DEATH COMES TO W LEMBERGER. Stricken as he is retiring.
Death came swiftly and unexpectedly to Wolfgang Lemberger at the home of his daughter andson-in-law, Mr and Mrs Joseph Buchner at 1209 S. 11th St. Manitowoc, (Wisc.), as he was preparing to retire for the night. The old gentleman had been about as usual yesterday, had supper with the family, and spent the evening at home. At 7:45 he prepared to retire and was disrobing when he collapsed and was dead before those in the home could realize what had happened. The funeral will be held Thursday morning (30 Apr 1925) with services at St Michael's church at Whitelaw at 10 o'clock and burial will be at Whitelaw cemetery. Born in Bavaria, September 16, 1848, Mr Lemberger would have been seventy-seven at his next birthday. He came to this country at the age of seven (1855) with his parents, the family settling in this country, and at the age of seventeen (1865) he was married (Theresa Meyer) and settled on a farm at Whitelaw. This farm he turned over to his son twenty-three years ago (1902), and moved to this city, where for sixteen years (1904-1920) he had a home on Manila Street. Five years ago he returned to the old farm (1920) where he made his home with his son for two years (1920-1922) and three years ago with Mrs Lemberger he came to the city to make his home with Mr and Mrs (Anna Frances) Buchner. Besides the widow, Mr Lemberger is survived by three sons and five daughters, Wolfgang, Jr. who is a traveling salesman in Minnesota, Anton and Joseph W of Cato, Sister Christina at the Holy Family Convent, Sisters Elizabeth and Bartelme at West Point, Nebraska; Mrs Joseph Buchner of this city and Mrs Anton Paul of Sturgeon Bay.
