Born Feb 1879. 1910 Census Johnstwn 8th ward, Cambria Co., Pa. page 9A 1920 Census Johnstown Tribune-Democrat NPO 13 May 1940 reads : Mrs. Elizabeth (Slagle) Stahl, 70, Widow of Solomon H. Stahl died ather home, 93 Rose Street, Eighth Ward, at 10:30 o'clock Saturday night.She had been ill for several months. Surviving is one son S.S. Stahl of1134 Boyd Avenue, and one daugh Elizabeth, wife of Frank Smith, 94 RoseStreet. Mrs. Stahl, was born at O'Connors Mills, Somerset County, a daughter ofFrederick and Mary (Rose) Slagle. Two children, Mrs. Mamie Widdersheimand Mrs. Margaret Beam preceded in death. Mrs. Stahl is survived also byone grandson Bobby Smith; two sisters, Mrs. Laney (Slagle) Hoffman andMrs. Tullie (Slagle) Replogle, Von Lunen Road and a brother Harry Slagle,Elmhurst Del. One brother and one sister preceded her in death. Funeral services for Mrs. Stahl will be held at her late home at 2:00o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Lewis H. Brumbaugh, pastor of the SellStreet Church of the Brethern, will officiate. Interment in GrandviewCemetery, directed by John Henders Company, Morticians.
