Wollery was a captain in the Continental Service and also in thePhiladelphia Brigade 1n 1777. He was a saddler by trade and ismentioned in a letter to the Board of War by General GeorgeWashington. Wollery was 1st married to Margaret Jones and they had ason John Meng that was a soldier in the Revolution. After the death ofSarah Colliday, Wollery married Esther Morris of Culpeper, VA in 1794.They had one son Wollery that married Dorthy North and moved to MO.Thename in the family Bible is Johan Ulherich. He went by Ulrich andWollery.Wollery Meng was a Saddler by trade. He is mentioned in aletter George Washington wrote to the War Board during theRevolutionary War. In this letter he is requesting the board to sendCapt. Ming (Meng) down to the Tannery at Germantown whereas they maybe able to save the hide in the vats (George Washington Papers).Wollery was in Captian Flower's Regiment, Artillery Officers, 1stApril 1777 and in the same year he was Captian in PhiladelphiaBrigade. Soon after thewar he and his family moved to Frederick, MDand the to Culpeper, VA wher he died in 1796.
