Also called rey Ramiro I Bermúdez de Asturias y Galicia. Ramiro Iº Bermúdez, rey de Asturias was "Hijo de Bermudo I "el Diácono" y de Numila." He was born in 791. He was the son of Bermudo Iº Fruelez "el Diácono", rey de Asturias and Numila (?). He married señora gallega Gontrada (?) before 815; His 1st. He married Urraca Paterna Díaz de Castilla, daughter of Diego I Rodríguez, conde de Castilla, circa 832; His 2nd. He succeeded his brother to the throne of Asturias in 842. King of Asturias and Galicia in Spain, between 842 and 850. He died on 1 February 850 in Liño, at age 59 years.
