Edward moved from Dorchester to Upwey. "Their home was the "Mill House" situated near the River Wey, a small stream that worked the Mill for Fulling. (Note: The Mill House is still in existence and the village boasts the "Sprague Wishing Well", and a set of Bells given to the church nearby)." --Joan Watkins, 1992. Three of Edward and Christina's sons emigrated to America--Ralph, Richard and William. Edward was a fuller by trade. A fuller was involved with finishing newly woven cloth, shrinking and thickening it with moisture, heat and pressure. Ancestor of Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
