Mr. Pageler was a retired farmer. He was born Nov 39, 1919, in rural Alma. He lived in the Wamego area all of his life and attended rural schools in Wabaunsee county. Mr. Pageler was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Wamego. He was married to LaVern Pageler Jan 24, 1951, in Wells Creek. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Diane Eckstein of Wamego; three sisters Clara Wille, Lula Olson and Ellen Dekat, all of Wamego; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Pageler and Reinhart Pageler and by two sisters, Lena Seitz and Margaret Brase. Funeral services will be held at 10 am. Thursday at Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego, with burial in Wamego City Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Heart Association or the Bible Baptist Church and left in care of the funeral home.
