DORA HOLZ, 82 WAMEGO, DIES AFTER AN ILLNESS

WAMEGO- Mrs. Dora Holz 82, Route 1, Wamego, died here Saturday in a hospital where she was admitted April 21. She was born March 8, 1887, in Wabaunsee county, the daughter of Henry F. and Hannah Meyer. she spent most of her life in the Wells Creek community southeast of Wamego. she was a member of Wells Creek United church of Christ. She was married to Henry Holz in 1907 at Wells Creek. He died in 1959. survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Bahner, Belvue, and Mrs. Leona Evans, Wamego; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Lukenga, Oklahoma city, Okla. and Mrs. Carrie Thowe, Alma; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Wells Creek United church of Christ southeast of Wamego. Burial will be in the Wells Creek church Cemetery. Stewart Funeral Home, Wamego, is in charge of arrangements.
